Bruce G. Howie is endorsed by the
St. Petersburg Times and the Tampa Tribune --
". . . Howie has the edge. He is a seasoned attorney with 30 years of experience and the only candidate who has practiced in nearly every area of law a circuit court judge is called upon to review.
". . . He is known for his meticulous preparation and professorial approach to legal issues. He has handled more than 100 jury trials in both state and federal court and has successfully argued before the Florida Supreme Court.
"Over many years, Howie has taken numerous pro bono cases challenging constitutional rights violations, donating his time without having the deep pockets of a big law firm behind him.
". . . For the Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court Group 6, the Times recommends Bruce Howie."
– St. Petersburg Times, Monday, August 4, 2008
"Bruce G. Howie . . . is the best choice."
"Howie has represented more than 2,500 clients from all walks of life in 30 years of practicing criminal and civil law. His experience in handling appeals and working as a certified court mediator would help him avoid mistakes that could result in cases being overturned.
"The Tribune endorses Bruce G. Howie for circuit judge, Group 6."

Bruce G. Howie is also endorsed by the Florida National Organization for Women PAC in Pinellas County.
Dear Neighbor,
Thank you for visiting my campaign website. Those of us who put ourselves before the voters by seeking public office really appreciate people like you who will take the time to research candidates and their backgrounds before voting.
Please take a moment to look at my qualifications as well as the long list of distinguished attorneys, community leaders, and former office holders who are supporting my candidacy. After you review these qualifications I hope you will support me, too!
Circuit court judges conduct trials in the most serious civil and criminal cases. Judges must have a thorough knowledge of the law and the courage to treat everyone equally and to apply the law impartially. Their decisions can forever impact the rights of those who come before them, in both civil and criminal trials.
I have devoted my entire 30-year legal career to upholding the integrity of our nation’s legal system and making sure that the rights of all are protected. I have represented every type of person - single moms, children, business owners, retirees, students, the wealthy and the poor. I understand the legal system and promise to treat all who come before me fairly, with respect and courtesy.
There are significant differences in the qualifications of the candidates who are running for this seat on the bench and I hope you will take the time to ask these questions –
- How long has the candidate practiced law?
- Does the candidate have experience in both civil and criminal law?
- Does the candidate have professional certifications that are attained through experience and education?
- Has the candidate practiced in the private sector, or just worked for the government?
I believe that once you discover the answers to those questions you will agree that my credentials compare very well. I appreciate your consideration and hope to have your vote on August 26!
| Sincerely, Bruce Howie |
Remember to vote for Bruce Howie on August 26!
